The Handling of Personal Information

Acquisition and Purpose of Use of Personal Information

We obtain, with the consent of the principal, the personal information including the name, old and new addresses, home and mobile phone numbers, email address, other contact information and the list of goods, to perform moving operation, other operations pertaining to it and follow through service.
In case of moving overseas, we also acquire from the customer, besides the information described above, a copy of the passport and voucher or boarding certificate, which are necessary for customs clearance.

Discretionary Response to the Request for Suspension of Use or Elimination of Personal Information

The customer is able to make a request to our helpdesk for the suspension of use, disclosure, provision or consignment of personal information. In such cases, we verify the customer's identity and respond to the request within a reasonable time period. Please contact our personal information helpdesk (contact information shown as below) for any inquiry regarding personal information. Furthermore, the customer provides personal information at his/her own discretion; however, the customer must understand that he/she may not be able to use some of our services if he/she decides not to submit such information.

Disclosure and Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

We will not provide or disclose the personal information obtained to any third party without the consent of the principal, except in any of the following cases.

• When it is required by laws
• If it is difficult to obtain the principal's consent, but use of the personal information is required to protect human lives, bodies and/or properties.
• If it is difficult to obtain the principal's consent, but use of the personal information is particularly necessary to improve public hygiene or promote the welfare or well-being of children.
• If it is necessary to cooperate with national agencies, local governments, or their consigned parties in the execution of legally prescribed business, but where obtaining the principal's consent may hinder execution of the said business.

Consignment of Personal Information

We may subcontract the handling of personal information to a business partner within the necessary scope for the purpose of business. In such cases, we will select the subcontractor on the basis of our criteria, and conclude an appropriate contract with them so that they will take reasonable measures to protect the personal information and the confidentiality of the information.

Personal Information Management

We will assign responsibility for protection of personal information and take appropriate security measures to prevent leak, loss or damage of such information obtained from the customer.
